From our staging area, Deep Creek Outdoor Adventures has direct access to hundreds of kilometers of trails and cutlines that lead through remote boreal forest. This network includes the scenic Old Peace River Trail.
The landscape is varied. You'll see the forest shift from muskeg and swamp spruce, to large swaths of poplar and birch, and yet again to thick stands of fir and lodge pole pine.

In the boreal forest, opportunities for spotting wildlife abound. Deer, moose, black bears, cougars, and wolves all call this habitat home, as do smaller animals like martins and weasels.
Our wilderness tours also provide excellent opportunities for guests to sight countless species of birds. Did you know that nearly half of the birds in North America spend a part of each year in the boreal forest?
